Republican Allan Fung could turn Rhode Island red

Full story

Heading into the midterms, the Democrats’ strategy is clear. They’re presenting Republicans as pro-Trump, pro-life, and skeptical of election results.

But Republican Congressional candidate Allan Fung said he is a moderate and could flip a congressional district in Rhode Island that has been blue since 1991. Fung said he doesn’t support late-term abortions but he also doesn’t support complete abortion bans. He said when it comes to that particular issue, he’s more “in the middle”.

Allan Fung is the former mayor of Cranston, Rhode Island’s second largest city.

“We did the right things to take a city that was in the red, financially hurting, and turned it around to make it one of the best cities to live in America,” Fung said

According to WPRI, some polls show Fung leading his opponent.
