After pictures of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) vacationing in Miami surfaced on social media, some right-wing politicos are calling her a hypocrite. Videos show the Congresswoman dining and attending outdoor parties without donning a mask.
“If I had a dollar for every lockdown politician who decided to escape to Florida over the last two years, I’d be a pretty doggone wealthy man,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) told reporters Monday. DeSantis has imposed relatively few COVID-specific restrictions in the Sunshine State. New York, on the other hand, has a strict mask and vaccine mandate as it battles a surge in cases due to the Omicron variant.
DeSantis isn’t alone in his criticism. After being spotted maskless at an outdoor drag bar, others are weighing in.
“The whole point of this post is to expose hypocrisy. We don’t actually care she’s maskless,” explained Florida Conservative Voice’s Brendon Leslie. “We care she fear mongers about Florida but then has the audacity to vacation here.”
For those of you with zero sense of humor: the whole point of this post is to expose hypocrisy. We don’t actually care she’s maskless. We care she fear mongers about Florida but then has the audacity to vacation here.

However, a Twitter exchange with former Newsmax personality Steve Cortes is setting the Twitterverse ablaze. Cortes tweeted a picture of Ocasio-Cortez at lunch with a man and made fun of the man.
“Her guy is showing his gross pale male feet in public (not at a pool/beach) with hideous sandals,” Cortes tweeted.
1. If Leftists like AOC actually thought mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL.

“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “Ya creepy weirdos.”
However, the exchange didn’t end there. After getting pushback from conservatives on social media, Ocasio-Cortez again took to her Twitter account.
“The fact that these people are so creepy/weird yet are also the ones responsible for shaping the NEWS HEADLINES we all see in media should be really concerning,” she Tweeted. “I don’t even want to know what knuckle-dragging thoughts these people have all day while covering women in politics.”
