Sen. Kyrsten Sinema raises eyebrows with reported Paris trip

Rather than working from Arizona during a state work period, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) attended a European fundraiser benefiting Senate Democrats, according to the New York TimesWhile not confirmed by Sinema’s team, a source told the New York Times the event was in Paris.

During the state work period, senators travel to their home state to work, meaning Sinema isn’t missing any votes while abroad. The Senate could have a big vote coming up soon, though: President Biden’s Build Back Better spending bill.

Sinema was recently in the spotlight as one of two main holdouts in getting that bill to a vote. That led to protestors following her into a restroom and even on a plane. No word yet if she’s stumbled into any during her time abroad.

Stay tuned for more on Senator Kyrsten Sinema.
