A Youtube Original video featuring Vice President Kamala Harris and a NASA astronaut meant to get kids interested in space quickly turned into a public relations nightmare, as children featured in the video were paid actors. Trevor Bernardino, 13, of Monterey, California, told KSBW-TV, he and four other kids auditioned for the spot. He then traveled to Washington, D.C., where they filmed the 9-minute Youtube Original program with the vice president.
That revelation was just enough for the story to go viral.
The Biden administration is using tax dollars to pay child actors to try and make Kamala Harris seem relatable.

Some social media users defended the vice president, as well.
You mean people are mad that @VP Harris used a script and child actors to inspire and educate other children? 🧐 This strategy has been effective for over 50 years. The "Get Curious with Vice President Harris" video is quite good. https://t.co/CordMKDY1f pic.twitter.com/RqRotfFH4H
