A new CBS News poll shows that 58% of people surveyed say they approve of President Joe Biden’s overall job performance.
While 58% may seem low, it’s not when it comes to approval ratings.
Real Clear Politics calculated that President Trump’s annual approval rating capped out at about 44 percent. President Obama’s topped at about 57%. Even after the September 11 attacks, President George W. Bush’s annual rating only got to about 70%.
“Six months into my administration, this economy has experienced the highest economic growth rate in nearly 40 years,” said Biden.
However, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy doesn’t agree.Just before Biden’s remarks, the Republican from Bakersfield, CA tweeted:
Prices on everything from gas to groceries are skyrocketing. Inflation is hitting hard-working middle-class families the hardest.
A key driver of these price increases and increased costs of living is crystal clear → massive increases in government spending by the Democrats.
