Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is leaving the Democratic Party. She is also calling on other “common sense, independent-minded Democrats” to exit with her.
In a Twitter video posted on Tuesday, the former presidential candidate claimed that the party she is exiting stands for the “powerful elite,” not the people.
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers who are driven by cowardly wokeness,” Gabbard said.
Hours before denouncing the Democratic Party, Gabbard launched her new podcast, The Tulsi Gabbard Show. In the trailer, released yesterday, she says she will cover a wide range of issues with people from all walks of life.
Gabbard’s party exit comes just one month after she filled in for Tucker Carlson on his Fox news program, where she criticized President Biden and the FBI over the raid at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
