Major North Carolina newspaper knocks Trump over Helene response ‘falsehoods’

Former President Donald Trump is facing criticism from the Charlotte Observer for politicizing Hurricane Helene’s response in North Carolina. The editorial board condemned Trump, stating his claims are “hypocritical” and harmful, urging against misinformation spreading.
The Observer emphasized that state and federal agencies are actively helping those affected, countering Trump’s allegations. Trump claimed FEMA money all went to helping migrants entering the U.S. The organization said none of the money earmarked for natural disasters went to supporting migrants.
