President Joe Biden has added a stop in Poland to his upcoming European trip. The White House announced Biden will meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda on Friday. The two are expected to discuss the humanitarian and human rights crisis caused by Russia’s war on Ukraine.
Biden will leave Washington, D.C. for Europe on Wednesday. Ahead of the visit to Poland, Biden will go to Brussels, Belgium for a summit with NATO, the European Council, and The Group of Seven (G7). The White House said Biden and other world leaders will discuss additional moves to “impose severe and unprecedented costs on Russia for its invasion.”
Reuters reported Poland is expected to formally submit a proposal for a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine during the NATO summit.
