Biden’s age a major concern for voters — two-thirds of Democrats say he’s too old

A new Associated Press poll revealed that 77% of voters think President Joe Biden is too old to “effectively serve another 4-year-term as president.” According to the poll, 69% of Democrats think Biden is too old to run again.

However, 82% of Democrats still say that Biden will have their support if he ends up being the Party’s 2024 presidential nominee.

Over half of voters think that both Biden and 77-year-old former President Donald Trump are too old to serve as president. But unlike Democrats with Biden, the majority of Republicans believe Trump is not too old to run in 2024.

Not only do the majority of Americans think the two candidates are too old to serve, 66% of voters believe an age limit should be set for the president should be under a certain age.

The poll suggests that American voters have come to the general consensus that age is a factor in how effective a leader can be, and believe an age limit should also extend to Supreme Court justices and members of the U.S. House and Senate.
