Protests, debate continue over Disney, Florida education bill

Protests have continued in California over Disney’s position on a new Florida law. Hundreds protested outside the front gates of Walt Disney Studios in Burbank Wednesday evening. The demonstration was organized by a group called Hold The Line.

The protest was tied to Disney’s response to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, also called the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by its critics. The bill, which became law in March, prohibits teachers from addressing gender identity and sexual orientation in certain classrooms. It’s a topic still being debated by many, including Disney parkgoers.
