Bondi stated that the FBI delivered the additional files by 8 a.m. ET Friday after she directed the agency to provide all Epstein-related materials in its possession.
She observed that these documents were stored in the Southern District of New York, which raises questions about why they were not included in the prior release.

How many documents did the FBI deliver?
Bondi described the release as a “truckload of evidence” and said the DOJ and the FBI continue to review thousands of pages. She emphasized that the department will review the documents carefully while protecting the privacy of Epstein’s victims.
Why were these files not released earlier?
The DOJ has launched a review to determine why the FBI didn’t disclose these documents earlier. Bondi has directed FBI Director Kash Patel to conduct an internal investigation and submit a full report within 14 days.
Additionally, the recent departure of James Dennehy, the former top special agent of the FBI’s New York field office, has led to speculation regarding handling these documents. Dennehy, appointed in September 2024, reportedly submitted his retirement under pressure, though the FBI has not provided an official reason for his exit.
What do the new files contain?
According to reports, the new batch of Epstein files includes copies of flight logs from his private jet and a redacted version of an address book associated with Epstein and his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
However, some observers remain skeptical about whether these documents will reveal new significant insights into Epstein’s network. Bondi has pledged full transparency and confirmed that the DOJ will release non-sensitive materials to the public.
What concerns have been raised about transparency?
Bondi has questioned why these files sat hidden for an extended period and why no one acted on them earlier. She stated, “No one did anything with them,” referring to the files’ location in the Southern District of New York.
She also emphasized the importance of public transparency, saying, “It’s a new administration, and everything’s going to come out to the public. The public has the right to know Americans have a right to know.”
