GOP leaders call on AG Pam Bondi to release Epstein documents after promise

  • GOP politicians are calling on U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to release files relating to Jeffrey Epstein. Some are questioning the delay, telling her to follow through on her promise to release the documents.
  • Bondi pledged to release the documents, which could include Epstein’s client list.
  • Although hundreds of documents were unsealed in 2024, they did not include names many believe could implicate prominent figures.

Full Story

Republican politicians are calling on newly confirmed U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to follow through on her promise to release documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. The pressure comes after Bondi said during the week of Feb. 17 that she had a pile of documents on her desk, awaiting her review.

Republican politicians demand action

Less than a week ago, Bondi spoke at a conservative political conference, she said that while she couldn’t discuss the specifics, she was briefed on the upcoming release of documents that may include Epstein’s client list.

Bondi told commentator Benny Johnson, “President Trump has given a very strong directive, and that’s going to be followed.”

GOP leaders are growing restless without any documents or an updated timeline. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., posted on X, asking Bondi, “What’s the status?”

She claimed neither Bondi nor the Department of Justice had responded about the pending release. Two other Republican lawmakers, Reps. Mike Collins, R-Ga., and Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., also took to social media, calling for the release of the files.

Questions surrounding Epstein remain

In January 2024, a federal judge unsealed hundreds of court documents related to Epstein, who faced charges connected to an international sex trafficking ring.

While those documents offered more insight into the case, including details about victims and high-profile associates, they did not include the names of individuals on Epstein’s client list. Many believe this could potentially implicate prominent world leaders and figures.

Calls for transparency

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, echoed calls for more transparency, referencing the release of documents related to the JFK assassination and the Las Vegas shooter. On social media, Lee emphasized this is information that the American people deserve to know, and called on Bondi to release the Epstein documents.

The pressure follows an executive order signed by the president allowing the release of files related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.

REPUBLICAN POLITICIANS ARE PUTTING NEWLY CONFIRMED U-S ATTORNEY GENERAL PAM BONDI IN THE HOT SEAT AFTER SAYING SHE WILL RELEASE DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN CASE.

LESS THAN A WEEK AGO, BONDI SAID A PILE OF DOCUMENTS SAT ON HER DESK WAITING FOR REVIEW.

SPEAKING AT A CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL CONFERENCE, SHE MENTIONED SHE COULDN’T DISCUSS THE DETAILS PUBLICLY BUT WAS BRIEFED ON THE RELEASE, WHICH COULD INCLUDE EPSTEIN’S CLIENT LIST.

(PAM: “President Trump has given a very strong directive, and that’s going to be followed.”)

GOP LEADERS ARE GROWING RESTLESS. REPRESENTATIVE ANNA PAULINA LUNA POSTED TO BONDI ON X, ASKING, “WHAT’S THE STATUS?” SHE CLAIMS NEITHER BONDI NOR THE DOJ HAS RESPONDED ABOUT THE PENDING RELEASE.

TWO OTHER REPUBLICAN REPRESENTATIVES ALSO TAKING TO THE PLATFORM, ASKING ABOUT THE FILES’ LOCATION AND TO RELEASE THEM.

BONDI APPEARED ON FOX NEWS FEBRUARY 21ST, REPEATING HER PROMISE TO DECLASSIFY THE EPSTEIN DOCUMENTS, GAINING SUPPORT FROM REPUBLICANS WHO HAVE LONG PUSHED FOR ACCESS.

WHILE THE RELEASE PROVIDED MORE INSIGHT INTO THE CASE, INCLUDING DETAILS ABOUT VICTIMS AND HIGH-PROFILE ASSOCIATES, IT DIDN’T INCLUDE THE LIST MANY ARE STILL HOPING FOR.

WHAT WAS MADE PUBLIC DID NOT CONTAIN THE NAMES OF INDIVIDUALS WHO MANY BELIEVE COULD IMPLICATE PROMINENT WORLD LEADERS AND FIGURES.

UTAH SENATOR MIKE LEE ALSO BROUGHT UP THE RELEASE OF JFK’S ASSASSINATION AND LAS VEGAS SHOOTER FILES, CALLING ON PAM BONDI TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN DOCUMENTS AS WELL.

HE EMPHASIZED ON SOCIAL MEDIA THAT THIS IS INFORMATION THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DESERVE TO KNOW.

THIS FOLLOWS AN EXECUTIVE ORDER SIGNED BY THE PRESIDENT TO ALLOW THE RELEASE OF ASSASSINATION FILES RELATED TO JFK, RFK AND MARTIN LUTHER KING JUNIOR.
