In May, Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to a $130,000 payment made to his then-lawyer, Michael Cohen, for a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Daniels claimed she had an extramarital affair with Trump, and prosecutors argued Trump paid her to remain silent before the 2016 presidential election.

Judge Juan Merchan was scheduled to sentence Trump on Nov. 26, and it will be up to him to determine how the case will proceed.
