JIMMIE JOHNSON: HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE. IT’S PUMPKIN PATCH SEASON…

I’M NOT A PUMPKIN KIND OF GUY BUT LIVING IN THE MIDWEST IS CHANGING ME. WE’LL START OFF WITH SOMETHING LIGHT AND THEN WE’LL GET INTO THE HEADLINES. LET’S GET STRAIGHT TO IT.

THAT WAS ELEPHANT’S PARTICIPATING IN THE ANNUAL “SQUISHING OF THE SQUASH” EVENT AT THE OREGON ZOO.

THE TRADITION DATES BACK TO 1999 AND IS IN ITS 23RD YEAR.

NOW TO A STORY, I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING CLOSELY OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS.

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION SAYS IT WILL REVIVE FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP’S REMAIN IN MEXICO POLICY NEXT MONTH.

IN AUGUST, THE SUPREME COURT REFUSED TO BLOCK A LOWER COURT’S ORDER TO REINSTATE THE PROGRAM.

THE POLICY FORCES ASYLUM SEEKERS TO WAIT IN MEXICO UNTIL THEIR IMMIGRATION CASE PLAYS OUT.

MOVING DOWN SOUTH TO TEXAS, THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS ASKING THE SUPREME COURT TO BLOCK THE STATE’S  NEW ABORTION LAW.

IT BANS WOMEN AND ABORTION CLINICS FROM FACILITATING ABORTIONS AT AROUND SIX WEEKS OF PREGNANCY.

IT ALSO GIVES PRIVATE CITIZENS THE RIGHT TO FILE LAWSUITS AGAINST ANYONE ACCUSED OF PERFORMING OR AIDING AN ABORTION.

AND BEFORE WE GO, FORMER PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON IS RECOVERING IN THE CALIFORNIA HOSPITAL FROM A NON-COVID RELATED INFECTION. HIS SPOKESPERSON SAYS CLINTON IS “ON THE MEND… “WE SEND HIM WELL WISHES.

THAT’S ALL THE NEWS FOR THIS FRIDAY, JOIN US AGAIN NEXT WEEK.
