Former President Donald Trump is calling out his own daughter on his Truth Social platform.
The January 6th committee showed video from Ivanka Trump’s deposition during their primetime hearing Thursday. It revealed she believed Attorney General Bill Barr’s statements that there was no widespread fraud in the 2020 election.
Ivanka Trump – Daughter of President Donald Trump says: “It affected my perspective. I respect Attorney General Barr. So I accepted what he was saying.”
The former President wrote on Truth Social: Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!).
During the primetime hearing, the committee also played clips of interviews with rioters, who said they showed up that day because they believed Donald Trump asked.
Robert Schrnack says: “What really made me want to come is the fact that you know I had supported Trump all that time, I did believe you know that the election was being stolen and Trump asked us to come.
Eric Barber says: “He personally asked us to come to DC that day. And I thought for everything he’s done for us, if this is the only thing he’s going to ask of me, I’ll do it.”
The committee has been heavily criticized by Republicans who say it’s not legitimate. Congresswoman Liz Cheney, the top Republican on the committee, had a message for her party.
Rep. Liz Cheney – R-WY says: “I say this to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible: There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain.”
The next hearing is Monday June 13th at 10am eastern. Straight from DC, I’m Ray Bogan.
