Tubi is turning up the dial on free streaming, hitting 97 million monthly active users and proving it’s a major player in the fast lane, no pun intended.
FAST in the streaming world stands for Free, Ad-Supported Streaming Television – and that’s exactly what Tubi is, along with competitors like Roku Channel, Pluto TV, and Samsung TV Plus.
With a catalog of more than 275,000 movies and TV episodes, Tubi says viewers streamed more than ten billion hours during 2024. This comes on the heels of a jump from just 78 million monthly active users midway through the year.
In a press release Monday, the Fox-owned platform’s CEO, Anjali Sud, says their strategy is “simple yet powerful… put viewers first by offering unique stories from unique storytellers, a vast selection of content to choose from and a delightful experience across devices.”
Back in October 2024, Samsung TV led the pack with 88 million monthly active users, while Tubi trailed closely behind at 85.5 million.
And it’s not just the numbers turning heads, Tubi’s content seems to be making waves too. Recent releases include the dark western “The Thicket” starring Peter Dinklage.

And talk show “We Got Time Today” hosted by former NFL player turned Colorado football coach Deion Sanders with media personality Rocsi Diaz.

Then there’s “Sidelined: The QB and Me” – a Tubi original that broke records for the platform, attracting the most viewers in its first seven days and bringing home more new users than any other title.
With competition heating up in the FAST space, Tubi’s formula and exclusive content seems to be paying off one stream at a time.
