Ukrainian to Putin: “Die…as quickly as possible.”

Mar 17, 2022

LVIV, Ukraine — Thousands of people have arrived in Lviv on a daily basis since the Russian invasion of the country began, though the city is not their final destination. With few possessions, many make plans to continue on to the Polish border. The number of people fleeing Ukraine since Russia invaded on Feb. 24 has climbed to more than 3 million in what has become Europe’s fastest-growing refugee crisis since World War Two.

Vladimir Putin is expected to decide soon whether to press on with a war that has already killed thousands of people and displaced several million. Refugees in Lviv, fleeing Russian aggression, had strong words for the Russian president.
