Footage shows massive explosions destroying what is believed to be an underground Hamas command center, connecting various schools and a naval headquarters.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari disclosed that the underground infrastructure spans several miles.

“In the last month, IDF forces explored this area while fighting,” Hagari told a press conference Wednesday, Dec. 27. “There was quite a bit of fighting there. Terrorists were killed there, our forces were injured there as well. This is a space that is very important to Hamas.

“We located there underground infrastructure that is several kilometers long. The infrastructure connected different buildings in the Strip and the forces uncovered three shafts in the area of the hospital, with one of them coming out at a school.”

The IDF reports finding suicide vests, rocket-propelled grenades, and various weapons, along with signs suggesting Israeli hostages.

This unfolds amid the ongoing conflict, with over 21,000 Palestinians killed, including nearly 200 in the last 24 hours, according to the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry.

Additionally, IDF officials claim to have uncovered another hidden tunnel shaft inside a mosque while destroying another underground headquarters in southern Gaza.
