After crash that killed 6 teens, NTSB chief says people underestimate marijuana’s impact on drivers

Six girls in Oklahoma died in a horrific car crash two years ago. Now, the head of the U.S. National Transportation Security Board (NTSB) is warning people about the dangers of driving after using marijuana. The NTSB is telling parents to warn their teenage children who are driving.

The crash report said the marijuana impacted the drivers’ motor skills, reaction time and judgment, all of which are critical while driving. The driver had a THC concentration of 95.9 nanograms per milliliter in their blood.
