Bernie Sanders’ tour criticized for hosting singer accused of mocking Christianity

A transgender punk rocker, Laura Jane Grace, opened a Bernie Sanders rally in Kenosha, Wisconsin. During the performance Grace performed a controversial song that has been labeled “grotesque” and “anti-Christian” by critics.

The rally attracted around 3,500 supporters, part of Sanders’ “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here” tour, which criticizes President Donald Trump’s administration.

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck condemned Grace’s performance, calling her lyrics “pure evil” and stating it reflects poorly on Democrats.

Despite criticism, Grace’s fans praised her performance, calling it a necessary protest song and expressing support on social media.
