Black Americans report racist text messages nationwide, FBI investigating

The Upper Darby School District warns that racist text messages targeting students have been sent, according to Principal Dr. Craig Parkinson. The school takes the matter seriously, stating the messages do not reflect its values.

Reports indicate these messages are widespread, affecting Black Americans and college students in multiple states.

The messages told recipients they were “selected to be enslaved and assigned to pick cotton on a plantation.”
