EPA chief Lee Zeldin pledges to recover $20B allocated by Biden Admin. for climate projects

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin announced that $20 billion in taxpayer money was “parked” by the Biden administration at a financial institution, impacting grants to climate groups. Zeldin expressed concerns over how the Climate United Fund and other entities will allocate the funds, demanding the immediate return of the money to the EPA.

Zeldin stated that the funds were appropriated under the Inflation Reduction Act for environmental projects. He plans to refer the matter to the agency’s office of the inspector general and work with the Justice Department for accountability.
