More than a million names purged from Texas voter rolls, Gov. Abbott says

Since 2021, Texas has removed over 1 million ineligible voters, as stated by Governor Abbott. Abbott emphasized, “Election integrity is essential to our democracy,” supporting the reforms that led to these removals, he also stated “illegal voting will not be tolerated.”
The Texas Secretary of State is currently sending records of 1,930 individuals with voter history to the Attorney General’s Office for investigation. About half of the voters removed have died, requested to be taken off the list or are living in another state.
