Netanyahu congratulates Trump, thanks for support for Israel, hostages

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated President Donald Trump on his second inauguration and expressed a desire to work together on regional challenges, including hostages and threats from Iran. Netanyahu thanked Trump for his support, highlighting key actions during his first term, such as withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal and recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

He expressed confidence in raising the U.S.-Israel alliance to greater heights and defeating Iran’s terror axis for regional peace.

Netanyahu also thanked Trump for efforts to free Israeli hostages and looked forward to collaboration on ending Hamas’s military capabilities.
