Pro-Palestine protest interrupts first day of Cornell University semester

Pro-Palestine activists vandalized Day Hall at Cornell University, writing messages like “Israel Bombs, Cornell pays” and breaking front door glass on the first day of school. Students stated, “the only way to make ourselves heard is by targeting the only thing the university administration really cares about: property.”
Cornell administration, led by interim president, plans to hold vandals accountable after vandalism sparked concerns about institutional policies and responses. The school has outlined a no-tolerance policy to infractions.
