Ramaswamy interested in Ohio Senate seat, Trump Cabinet

Vivek Ramaswamy, a former early presidential candidate, expressed interest in serving as the Ohio senator if former President Donald Trump was elected with his recently announced running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio. If the two were to be elected, that would leave the Ohio senator position open.

Ramaswamy said he would considering filling the position if asked. The businessman said he hoped to talk with former President Trump about serving as a cabinet member.

Ramaswamy spoke at the Republican National Convention where Trump officially obtained the Republican nomination.
