On Aug. 6, Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris tapped Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to be her running mate. Walz is a Democratic governor with 24 years in the National Guard and 20 years as a public school social studies teacher and football coach. He has a wide support base and is considered among Democrats to have been a good choice. However, it remains to be seen whether he can deliver any additional states in the Electoral College.

The following is an excerpt from the above video:
Number one, this race, as much as any other, if not more, will be won or lost to a great degree based on how good Harris and her running mate are at confronting, in real-time, the MAGA people and the terrible ideas of Trump. Walz has shown in his many media tours over the last few weeks, some might call it an audition campaign, he’s shown he can do it. He’s been just as good on Fox News as he has on MSNBC, and he is just very good at the media appearances. That’s number one, that’s very good.
Number two, [Walz’s] record in Minnesota as governor is really good. So when they try to come after him and say, you’re far left, what are they going to point to when it comes to Minnesota, when Minnesota has a very high standard of living, one of the top states in fiscal stability, protecting the environment, ranks well in education, ranks well in infrastructure, nice average per capita income…
They’ll do it, but it’s going to be more difficult for them to say Minnesota is proof of the disaster that is Tim Walz and his ideas. And then number three, [Walz] actually has some really good policy accomplishments and policy ideas.
