Okay, literally Republicans do not have any level of priority to actually do their job. Think about this. There’s no speaker of the house. This is unprecedented for it to happen in the middle of their term, orchestrated primarily by Matt gates. Naturally, no Democrat is going to vote for McCarthy. Right. So let’s look at what’s happening today. You have an interim speaker, but that interim speaker does not actually have authority. You cannot advance legislation under an interim speaker. As a matter of fact, you can’t even make committee assignment. So what happens? Nobody in Congress is really working for you.
Please understand,
Republicans are not going to choose their next leader, by way of some unanimous vote, or first round, pick Hale it took McCarthy 15 rounds to get it. This is not about Democrat versus Republican. This is literally Republican versus Republican government shutdown is pending. Again, I want to remind you that the government does not just shut down.
It doesn’t happen. Just automatically. It happens because members of Congress do not do their jobs.
Here we are,
why we’re here. This is what happens when a political party no longer has a policy agenda. They have no floor. While I may disagree with the policies of Republicans, mostly,
at least it created a platform that you can debate launch from understand where the other side was. They have no platform, there is no Republican Party. Everybody is trying to please Trump, or perhaps utilize the moment to create proxy power for themselves. But it has nothing to do with representing people has nothing to do with being a leader because they have no speaker. They have no guidance. Thus, we have no representation.
This is about as bad as it gets. And floating the idea that Donald Trump the former president, while under multiple indictments, for criminal activity should become Speaker of the House. Well, that’s just the level of insanity we have come to expect out of Republicans.

Republicans in Congress cannot, will not do their jobs
Oct 06, 2023
By Straight Arrow News
On Oct. 3, the House of Representatives dismissed Kevin McCarthy from his role as speaker of the House. It is the first time in U.S. history that the House has dismissed its presiding speaker, and it is yet another sign of how much power the extremist wing of the GOP has over the current Republican Party.
Straight Arrow News contributor Rashad Richey argues that it demonstrates much more. First, it reveals the profound inability of Republicans in Congress to carry out the basic tasks of their work in public service. Second, it reveals that the modern Republican Party still has no platform and remains only a personality cult devoted to Donald Trump.
I want to remind you that the government does not just shut down. It doesn’t happen just automatically. It happens because members of Congress do not do their jobs. Here we are.
Why are we here? This is what happens when a political party no longer has a policy agenda. They have no floor. While I may disagree with the policies of Republicans, mostly, at least it created a platform that you can debate, launch from, understand where the other side was.

Politicians and Supreme Court justices must have term limits
When the founders of the early American republic designed the Constitution, they envisioned a powerful judiciary separated from the influences of the legislative and executive branches. To try to reach that goal, the United States offers lifetime appointments to its federal Supreme Court justices. In recent decades, however, Americans have raised a variety of arguments…

Trump’s own behavior betrays his guilt

Support democracy or Trump, but you can’t do both
