AMERICAN AIRLINES REPORTED A WIDESPREAD “TECHNICAL ISSUE” TUESDAY MORNING.
THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION SAYING AMERICAN AIRLINE REQUESTED A GROUND STOP FOR ALL ITS FLIGHTS.
THE AIRLINE RESPONDED TO WORRIED TRAVELERS ON X – WRITING “YOUR SAFETY IS OUR UTMOST PRIORITY, ONCE THIS IS RECTIFIED, WE’LL HAVE YOU SAFELY ON YOUR WAY TO YOUR DESTINATION.”
AMERICAN AIRLINE SAID IT WAS EXPECTING FLY NEARLY 12 POINT 7 MILLION CUSTOMERS DURING THE HOLIDAY PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 18TH TO JANUARY 6TH.
MEANTIME — THE TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION SAID IT EXPECTS TO SCREEN NEARLY 40 MILLION TRAVELERS FROM DECEMBER 19TH TO JANUARY 2 – A MORE THAN 6 PERCENT INCREASE FROM THE SAME TIME LAST YEAR.
