Beware of the bugs: murder hornet found in Washington state

Murder hornets started popping up throughout North America in 2019. Earlier this month, the invasive Asian giant species was found in Washington state, raising questions about what can be done to stop the bug from calling the United States home. Why are officials so concerned? It’s not because of the possible bite from their sting–it’s to protect the bumblebees.

AND SCIENTISTS BELIEVE THE SOLO HORNET THAT WAS FOUND PROBABLY

WAS HERE FROM LAST SEASON, SINCE ITS A MALE AND THEY USUALLY DON’T COME AROUND UNTIL JULY WHICH IS ACTUALLY GOOD NEWS

HOWEVER, IF YOU DO SPOT ONE MAKE SURE TO STAY AWAY, BUT ALERT YOUR LOCAL AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT.
