WHILE SOME DEMOCRATS CONTINUE TO QUESTION WHETHER PRESIDENT BIDEN SHOULD RUN FOR “FOUR MORE YEARS” –

A NEW POLL FINDS THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS SAY USING THE 25TH AMENDMENT TO PREVENT THE PRESIDENT FROM FINISHING OUT HIS FIRST TERM WOULD BE OKAY.

IT’S BEEN WEEKS SINCE THE FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE –

AND CONCERNS OVER BIDEN’S PERFORMANCE AND PLACE AT THE TOP OF THE DEMOCRATIC TICKET ARE STILL CONSUMING THE NEWS CYCLE.

NOW –

A NEW NEWSWEEK POLL IS SHIFTING THE FOCUS FROM BIDEN’S FITNESS FOR PRESIDENCY IN THE **FUTURE TO THE **PRESENT.

51% OF PEOPLE SURVEYED SAY THEY ARE IN SUPPORT OF USING THE 25TH AMENDMENT TO REMOVE BIDEN FROM OFFICE IF THE CABINET BELIEVES IT’S WARRANTED.

AND WHEN LOOKING AT PEOPLE WHO BACKED BIDEN IN 2020 –

41 PERCENT OF BIDEN VOTERS WOULD SUPPORT THE REMOVAL OF BIDEN FROM THE WHITE HOUSE.

INVOKING THE 25TH AMENDMENT OVER CONCERNS OF BIDEN’S MENTAL FITNESS MIGHT NOT BE TOO FAR OFF.

THE HOUSE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE HAS NOW SENT SUBPOENAS TO SOME OF BIDEN’S TOP AIDES IN THE WHITE HOUSE –

FOR THEM TO **TESTIFY OVER HIS MENTAL ACUITY.

OVERSIGHT CHAIR JAMES COMER IS ASKING BIDEN’S DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF, A SENIOR ADVISER, AND THE FIRST LADY’S TOP AIDE “ANTHONY BERNAL” TO SIT FOR DEPOSITIONS.

IN HIS LETTER – COMER SAYS 

“The Committee is concerned that Mr. Bernal appears to be one of several White House staffers who have taken it upon themselves to run the country while the President cannot. To be clear, the American people did not elect Mr. Bernal or any White House staffer to do President Biden’s job for him…

“The Committee seeks this information to explore whether the time has come for Congress to revisit potential legislation to address the oversight of presidents’ fitness to serve pursuant to its authority under Section 4 of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment.”

THE WHITE HOUSE IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED.

“Like everything Congressman Comer has done over the past year, these subpoenas are a baseless political stunt intended for him to get media attention instead of engage in legitimate oversight.”

THE SAME NEWSWEEK POLL THAT FOUND MOST AMERICANS IN FAVOR OF INVOKING THE 25TH AMENDMENT ALSO FOUND MOST PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR BIDEN IN 2020 ARE IN FAVOR OF BIDEN ENDING HIS 2024 CAMPAIGN.

THE SENTIMENT FOUND IN THIS POLL –

IS ALSO BEING ECHOED ON LATE NIGHT.

AS LEADERSHIP IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY – CONTINUES TO BE QUESTIONED JUST MONTHS OUT FROM ELECTION DAY.
