Everyone has heard about ChatGPT, as the software has been blowing up all over the internet. The artificial intelligence tool is nothing short of impressive, but with users testing out the limits, it’s turning out to be a lot smarter than originally thought.
According to a Wharton Business School professor at the University of Pennsylvania, ChatGPT was able to pass the school’s MBA entrance exam. It outperformed some of the actual students with a solid B grade. It was reportedly able to automate the skills of highly paid MBA graduates like analysts, managers and consultants.
In addition, ChatGPT is inching a little closer to becoming Dr. ChatGPT. It passed all three parts of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination, but just barely, according to Axios. Researchers say medical students typically spend hundreds of hours studying for each of those tests.
While experts call this new generation of AI impressive, futuristic and groundbreaking, it’s nowhere near perfect. People shouldn’t expect ChatGPT to make medical decisions anytime soon.
One thing is for sure, Microsoft clearly believes in its potential. It announced a $10 billion investment into ChatGPT’s maker, OpenAI, to expand the tech. Google has viewed the move as a threat to its business. Reports now show the company may soon demo its own AI tools.
