He’s stayed mum for months, but Thursday Justice Stephen Breyer told CNN he is not feeling pressure to retire.
82-year-old Breyer is the oldest member of the Supreme Court, and also one of just three justices appointed by a Democratic president.
With Democrats controlling both the Senate and White House, some progressives have been calling for Breyer to retire.
Breyer told CNN he is enjoying being the ranking liberal on the bench, saying two things will impact his decision to retire; his health and the courts.
