Share

U.S. military officials told Fox News the Air Force F-16 Jet used to shoot down a flying object Sunday missed on its first attempt. Sunday marked the fourth time the U.S. shot down a flying object in just over a week.

Sunday’s takedown happened over Lake Huron in Michigan. On Monday, Defense Secretary LLoyd Austin said none of the debris from the object has been found in Lake Huron.

The jet was using Sidewinder missiles to take down the flying object. It wasn’t clear where the missile that missed ultimately landed. Each of the missiles used Sunday costs more than $400,000.
