The 37,000-square-foot property, located in Highland Park, Illinois, is now known as Champions Point. The home’s current owner is offering it for rent after purchasing it from Jordan for $14.9 million.

The mansion spent 12 years on the market before selling. It was initially listed for $29 million in 2012, but Jordan lowered the price to $16 million a year later.

Renters can experience luxury living in the massive estate, which sits on 7.39 acres of land. The house features nine bedrooms, 15 and a half bathrooms and additional spaces like an exercise room, library, theater and full basement.

For sports enthusiasts, the home includes a full-sized basketball court and a tennis court. Outdoor amenities also include a swimming pool and a championship-level putting green. Inside, renters can enjoy a wine cellar and a cigar room. Car lovers will appreciate the heated garage with space for 14 vehicles.

Ownership shares still available

In January 2025, the mansion was available for one-week stays. The property owner also offered ownership shares of the estate for $1 million each. According to the Champions Point website, the ownership option is still available. The owner encourages co-owners to host intimate gatherings during major events.

Property taxes add to the cost

Living in Michael Jordan’s former mansion comes with more than just rental fees. Property records from the Lake County Treasurer’s Office show that annual property taxes for the estate were $137,208.38 in 2023. Taxes peaked at $189,829.57 in 2014.

The new owner of the former Chicago Bulls star’s mansion is now offering the 37-thousand square foot property in Highland Park Illinois up for rent, calling it ‘Championship Point.’ Jordan sold the property for 14.9 million dollars after twelve years on the market. It was originally listed for 29-million dollars when it first went up for sale in 2012, before dropping to 16-million a year later.

Renters can certainly get a taste of the high life. The listing notes that the house sits on 7.39 acres of land and includes 9 bedrooms, 15 and a half bathrooms, an exercise room, library, theater, and full basement.

And of course, there’s a full sized basketball court fit for a champion. Other amenities include a tennis court, pool, championship level green, wine cellar, and cigar room.

For the car lovers? A heated garage with space for 14 vehicles.

In January, the home was being offered up for one week stays, and the property owner was offering shares of the property for 1-million dollars. That option is still listed on the property’s website, along with encouragement for co-owners to host intimate gatherings for major events.

But luxury living comes at a cost – beyond just rent. Records show annual property taxes for the estate topped 137-thousand dollars in 2023. That’s down from a high of nearly 190-thousand dollars in 2014.

So while the house comes with a legendary legacy – living like a champion doesn’t come cheap.
