Multiple children killed in Tennessee school shooting

A shooting at a Tennessee Christian school has left three children and three adults dead, according to a CNN report. Police killed the shooter, and identified the shooter as a 28-year-old female. The shooting has left seven people dead including the shooter. 

The Covenant School in Nashville serves students in preschool through sixth grade. About 200 students are enrolled at the private school. Parents began picking up their children as soon as word of an active shooter situation circled around the community.

Details on how police took down the shooter are limited at this time, but authorities say there is no longer a threat to the community.

According to data compiled by “Education Week,” so far this year, there have been at least 13 school shootings that have resulted in deaths or injuries in the United States.

DETAILS ON HOW POLICE TOOK DOWN THE SHOOTER ARE LIMITED AT THIS TIME. BUT AUTHORITIES SAY THERE IS NO LONGER A THREAT.
