Pride Month: First transgender woman wins Miss Nevada USA


Kataluna Enriquez has made history as the first transgender woman crowned as Miss Nevada USA. With the platform of transgender representation and mental health awareness, she will compete in the Miss USA pageant in November.

ENRIQUEZ WAS CROWNED MISS NEVADA AFTER THE MISS USA PRELIMS. 

SHE IS TAKING THE CROWN AND REPRESENTING THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY.

ENRIQUEZ’S PLATFORM FOCUSES ON TRANSGENDER AWARENESS AND MENTAL HEALTH.  

SHE DESIGNS HER OWN GOWNS INCLUDING THIS RAINBOW SEQUIN DRESS SHE WORE TO CELEBRATE PRIDE MONTH. 

AFTER CROWNED SHE SAID “MY WIN IS OUR WIN. WE JUST MADE HISTORY. HAPPY PRIDE.” 

NEXT UP FOR ENRIQUEZ, SHE WILL REPRESENT NEVADA IN THE MISS USA PAGEANT IN NOVEMBER.
