Report: Feds subpoenaed Trump’s Mar-a-Lago staffers about classified docs

Full story

The federal grand jury investigating the case of classified documents found at former President Donald Trump’s mansion in Florida expanded its reach in the week of Mar. 13. The investigators subpoenaed at least two dozen people with ties to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate to testify about what they may know of the situation.

According to CNN, witnesses ranging from resort staff to members of Trump’s inner circle at the Florida estate received subpoenas to discuss the case that was brought to the nation’s attention after the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago last summer. Several staffers have already appeared before the grand jury and interviewed with prosecutors.

CNN said that, according to unidentified sources, the staffers are of interest because of what they may have seen or heard while on their daily duties around the property.

The DOJ has been investigating potential mishandling of declassified documents and possible obstruction for about a year now. Following the Mar-a-Lago raid, there were several discoveries of classified documents in the possession of other politicians, including President Joe Biden and former Vice President Mike Pence.
