Some states dropping school mask mandates despite CDC guidance

Covid rates are dropping… and in response some states are dropping their masks. 

Democratic governors in connecticut new jersey and delaware have announced students will not be required to wear masks in the coming weeks.

And new york’s democratic governor indicated she might lift them as well. 

New covid cases are down nationwide… but deaths are still high.. 

With more than 2400 americans dying from the virus each day according to johns hopkins university

And a recent cdc report shows that kids who get covid are up to 2.5 times more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes.

But despite that some states are looking to end mask mandates for schools. 

Virginia’s new republican governor tried it… 

but was shot down as state law supersedes executive orders… and virginia’s state law says schools will follow cdc guidance… and that hasn’t changed.
