Vice President Kamala Harris arrived in Guatemala late Sunday night, after technical issues delayed the beginning of her trip.

The plane she was on had to return to Joint Base Andrews after 30 minutes in the air. She took off again about an hour later.

Harris will be in Guatemala and Mexico this week to talk about migration and the fight against drugs. It is her first foreign trip as Vice President.

As she visits, the Biden administration is expected to announce new measures to fight smuggling and trafficking. They also hope to announce anti-corruption efforts.
