Zelenskyy describes “genocide” in Bucha, Biden calls for war crimes trial

Russia’s apparent destruction of Bucha, a town outside Kyiv, has incited the most international outrage yet in this conflict.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy // Ukrainian President: “It is time to do everything possible to make the war crimes of the Russian military the last manifestation of such evil on earth. Everyone guilty of such crimes will be found and punished.”}
Shannon Longworth: “Today, President Biden is doubling down on calling President Putin a war criminal, and he’s not alone.
President Joe Biden: “We have to gather the information. We have to continue to provide Ukraine with the weapons they need to continue the fight. And we have to get all the detail so this can be an actual, have a war crimes trial.”
Shannon: Russian troops have retreated from the area surrounding Kyiv, and Bucha remains in Ukrainian hands. However, residents are left with mass graves, crumbling infrastructure, and loss of life.
And US officials say Russia appears to be moving troops from the area in order to reorganize in Belarus.
