Alina Habba suggests some veterans ‘not fit’ for government jobs

About 6,000 veterans have been terminated from federal positions under the Trump administration, according to estimates by House Democrats. President Donald Trump’s counselor, Alina Habba, said that the Trump administration cares about veterans “tremendously” before adding that they have a “fiscal responsibility to use taxpayer dollars to pay people that actually work.”

Habba went on to say that “perhaps [some veterans are] not fit to have a job at this moment, or not willing to come to work.”

Chelsea Milburn, a disabled veteran, expressed feelings of betrayal after being fired, highlighting her service to the country over many years. Critics say that veterans, comprising 30% of the federal workforce, deserve an apology for the dismissive remarks made by the Trump administration.
