Americans are split on Biden’s student loan work, even those with debt, an AP-NORC poll finds

As he campaigns for reelection, President Joe Biden frequently touts his work on student debt, pointing to the millions of people who received cancellation under his watch. Yet relatively few Americans say they are fans of his work on the issue, even among those who have student loans. Three in 10 U.S. adults say they approve of how Biden has handled the issue of student loan debt, while four in 10 disapprove, according to a new poll from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. The others are neutral or don’t know enough to say.
