Bernie Sanders says ‘pragmatic’ Kamala Harris changing positions ‘to win the election’ but still considers her progressive

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., called Vice President Kamala Harris’ moderate views “pragmatic,” saying she is “doing what she thinks is right in order to win the election.” Sanders acknowledged that Harris supports key issues like a permanent child tax credit, affordable housing and union access. However, Sanders said “she is not where I am” on several other liberal topics.
Sanders reaffirmed his belief in Harris as “progressive” despite differing views, highlighting her focus on major issues like the housing crisis and labor rights.
