Biden’s decision to drop out ‘has nothing to do with his health,’ White House says

On Wednesday, July 24, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre denied claims that said President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the presidential race was due to health issues.

Jean-Pierre said Biden undergoes regular health assessments and said his choice “has nothing to do with his health.” Biden gave his first address to the nation on the evening of Wednesday, July 24, explaining why he decided to leave the ballot.

Biden dropped out of the race on Sunday, July 21, and has since endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris.
