Colleges fare better on average as ADL grades them on antisemitism for a second time

Nearly half of U.S. universities improved protections for Jewish students compared to last year, but many still struggle with antisemitism, as reported in the Anti-Defamation League’s 2025 Campus Report. The Anti-Defamation League awarded an A or B rating to 36% of institutions, up from 23.5% in 2024, showing a notable improvement in addressing antisemitism.

A survey found that 83% of Jewish students experienced or witnessed antisemitism on campuses since October 2023, and 66% present a lack of confidence in their universities’ ability to prevent it. Around 21% of institutions received a D rating, including Columbia University, which did not improve from the previous report.
