DC restaurant fires server over refusal to serve Trump administration officials

A bar in Washington D.C. fired an employee for refusing to serve members of the incoming Trump administration, citing a violation of its “zero-tolerance policy on discrimination.” Suzannah Van Rooy stated she wouldn’t serve individuals she associates with serious allegations, including sex trafficking.

The bar described Van Rooy’s comments as “reprehensible” and expressed horror at being associated with her behavior.

The restaurant emphasized that Van Rooy’s remarks were inappropriate and unacceptable, leading to her immediate dismissal.
