John Kelly stated Trump praised Hitler, wishing for his generals’ loyalty during a private conversation at the White House. Kelly noted Trump didn’t understand the Constitution or the nation’s values, seeing loyalty as personal rather than to the Constitution.
Kelly described Trump as an authoritarian who admires dictators, stating he fits the general definition of fascist. Kelly went on to say that Trump never accepted that he was never the “most powerful man in the world” meaning he could do “anything he wanted, anytime he wanted.”
