Judge dismisses George Santos’s suit against Jimmy Kimmel over Cameo videos

Former Representative George Santos lost a federal lawsuit against Jimmy Kimmel on the same day he pleaded guilty to federal crimes. Santos alleged that Kimmel’s show tricked him into recording absurd Cameo videos for a segment called “Will Santos Say It?”
The judge ruled Kimmel’s use of the videos was protected under fair use, stating it served a “transformative” purpose of political commentary. Documents go on to say that the segments in which videos were shown served as criticism and commentary on a newsworthy public figure, and that audiences would understand that.
