Judge tosses suit seeking declaration that Georgia officials don’t have to certify election results

A Georgia lawsuit questioning county election board members’ authority to certify election results was dismissed by Judge Robert McBurney due to a technicality, although it could be refiled. The lawsuit, initiated by Fulton County election board member Julie Adams, challenges the interpretation of “discretionary” versus “ministerial” duties under state law. Adams may refile the lawsuit with the correct defendant specified.
